Judge pares State Bar case against former executive Joe Dunn

“It’s really unusual to get any kind of dismissal in State Bar Court. This is a big victory,” one of Dunn’s attorneys, professional responsibility specialist Ellen A. Pansky, said in an email.

Attorneys for former State Bar executive director Joe Dunn said Friday they intend to leverage a judge’s dismissal of some of the agency’s charges against him by moving to end the matter quickly, one way or another.

A status conference is set for Feb. 16. The bar said it is proceeding with the remaining charges and Dunn’s counsel said they are hoping to rapidly end the case.
