Santa Clara County names new chief county counsel

Anthony J. LoPresti joined the county counsel in 2018, and later became an assistant county counsel. County supervisors praised LoPresti’s background in working with diverse communities as a key strength that, coupled with his legal expertise, will continue to help the county fight for the needs of the community, the county said in a written statement.

Santa Clara County appointed its chief assistant county counsel to be the next chief county counsel.

Anthony J. LoPresti will take the new post in July replacing James R. Williams who will become county executive.
