State Bar, LA County DA jointly investigate immigration scam
Nubia Esmeralda Burrier operated for 14 years in an office across from the U.S. Immigration Court in downtown Los Angeles, prosecutors said.
Investigators from the State Bar and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office jointly raided the office of a woman prosecutors say posed as an attorney to swindle immigrants.
