Panel skeptical of effort to skirt Coinbase arbitration
A user claims a scammer drained his Coinbase account of more than $31,000. He sought help from the crypto platform but claims he didn’t get any response until filing a complaint alleging a violation of the Electronic Funds Transfer Act.




Attorneys representing Coinbase Global Inc. and a plaintiff trying to sue the cryptocurrency exchange were grilled Tuesday by a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel about whether the company’s arbitration requirements are unconscionable.
Judges on the panel appeared to be skeptical of arguments by Tycko & Zavareei LLP associate Glenn Chappell, who said an agreement requiring his client, Abraham Bielski, to arbitrate his claims again...
