OK sought for $185M deal between minor leaguers, MLB
Chief Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero said, "I think it's an excellent settlement" which received "remarkable response" with "very few objections." Spero said he would wait until at least late March or early April for the opt-out period to end and additional supplemental notice to be sent out to class members before giving approval.




A U.S. magistrate judge on Friday approved a $185 million settlement between minor league baseball players and Major League Baseball. The deal includes an agreement by MLB to rescind a prohibition on payment of salaries to players outside the championship season.
