HP denies it misrepresented reduction in workforce plan
The litigation stems from allegations made by shareholders that Hewlett-Packard and Computer Sciences Corp. Inc. merged in April 2017 to create co-defendant DXC and misrepresented its $1 billion layoff plan in Securities and Exchange Commission filings.




Attorneys for Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. argued Thursday that shareholders suing the company over a $2.7 billion round of layoffs following a 2017 merger to create information technology company DXC Technology Co. cannot pursue claims that it materially misrepresented its plan for a reduction in force.
