Judge OKs $10M settlement between Keurig and class

Plaintiffs had alleged that despite the advertising on the pods stating they were recyclable, “municipal recycling facilities are not properly equipped to handle the pods.”

A class of coffee consumers and Keurig Green Mountain Inc. were granted final approval for a $10 million settlement to resolve claims Keurig’s recyclable labeling on its plastic single-serve coffee pods was false and misleading.

U.S. District Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr. on Monday issued his approval of the agreement, which includes a provision that Keurig must put a disclaimer on its pods that they are not recycled in many communities. H...
