LA lawyer Julie Su nominated to be US labor secretary

The California lawyer is the former state labor secretary. She began her career working at nonprofits in Los Angeles.

President Joe Biden has nominated California lawyer Julie Su to be U.S. secretary of labor. Su was previously California labor secretary under Gov. Gavin Newsom before becoming a deputy labor secretary under Biden.
