Girardi arraigned on Chicago charges of stealing from clients
Disbarred attorney Thomas V. Girardi answered “yes” to a couple of questions as he was arraigned remotely on eight counts of wire fraud and four counts of criminal contempt of court in connection with misappropriating more than $3 million in settlement funds intended for victims of a plane crash in Indonesia.
