Senate confirms judge to seat on Southern District
U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew G. Schopler drew significant support from Republicans including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-KY, and U.S. Sen. Mike Rounds, R-SD, who rarely vote for any of Biden’s judicial nominees.





U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew G. Schopler was confirmed by the Senate 56-39 Tuesday to be an Article III judge on the Southern District of California court.
The Senate is moving slowly but steadily to pass President Joe Biden’s nominees, although Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, appears to be focusing on the least contested nominees.
