Izzy Ramsey confirmed as US attorney in San Francisco
Attorneys say he is a familiar presence in San Francisco federal courtrooms, as a prosecutor and defense lawyer, a fact they say helped him get the appointment in the first place and should serve him well on the job.
White-collar defense attorney Ismail J. “Izzy” Ramsey, a former federal prosecutor in San Francisco will take charge of the U.S. attorney’s office, where he will have to juggle major white-collar cases and politically significant — if less glamorous — gun and drug matters.
