YouTube users class agrees to speed decision on liability theory

According to a joint case management statement, the parties agreed to work together on a briefing schedule for Google’s imminent motion for class decertification to address whether plaintiffs are legally able to recover under a unique theory of liability.

Plaintiffs suing Google LLC for allegedly renewing users’ YouTube subscriptions without notice told a Santa Clara judge Thursday that they would coordinate with the tech giant on a motion for class decertification in order to speedily address their theory of liability.
