How should renamed law schools appear on bar?

“The need for a formal written policy regarding how to handle law school name changes has been glaringly highlighted; to that end, staff will prepare a proposed policy for the Board of Trustees’ consideration later this year,” the State Bar said.

Amid an unclear policy within the California State Bar, the agency altered licensee website profiles for alumni of UC Hastings College of the Law to the school’s new name, then back to Hastings, then back to the new name, according to a statement from the bar on Wednesday.
