Microsoft asks judge to dismiss challenge to Activision merger
Plaintiffs alleged the merger deal between two of the biggest video game companies, which themselves are the products of multiple mergers and acquisitions, would create an unlawful concentration of power in the industry.




Microsoft Corp. asked a federal judge Thursday to dismiss gamers’ efforts to stop the company’s merger with Activision Blizzard Inc., which plaintiffs claimed would be one of the largest technology mergers of all time, valued at $69 billion, and will substantially lessen competition or create a monopoly.
