The U.S. attorney’s office for the Central District Court of California announced Tuesday it is establishing a new executive position, the chief of ethics and post-conviction review, which will lead investigations into prosecutorial misconduct complaints and monitor reviews of convicts’ innocence claims.
The Central District joins a growing list of U.S. Attorney offices across the nation creating bodies to right wrongful convictions.
