You’ve got voicemail. Communication gaps bedevil attorneys

A hearing on a motion to dismiss a workplace discrimination lawsuit scheduled for Tuesday morning in LA County Superior Court did not go as expected for the plaintiffs or defendants.

The judicial assistant in Department 53 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse called the office of defense counsel Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP the day before and recorded a voicemail informing them that the hearing had been continued to March 29.
