Wells Fargo, investors reach $300M agreement

If it is approved the settlement, it will rank within the 100 largest settlements for a securities fraud class action.

Wells Fargo & Co. and investors asked a federal judge Thursday for preliminary approval for a $300 million settlement to resolve claims the bank failed to disclose it forced unwanted car insurance onto account holders who had a car loan with the bank.

The bank maintained Thursday that it disagrees with the allegations.
