Developers of Tejon Ranch must redo CEQA study, judge rules

Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff ordered Los Angeles County and its board of supervisors to set aside approval for respondent Tejon Ranchcorp’s Centennial Project, which would have built housing for 57,000 residents 65 miles north of Los Angeles.

A superior court judge blocked a 19,000-unit housing development planned for a northern Los Angeles County finding that an environmental impact report for the project was conducted improperly under the California Environmental Quality Act in a ruling experts say will merely delay the project.
