Apple CEO may testify in trade secrets trial over watches
U.S. District Judge James V. Selna in Santa Ana denied on March 28 the plaintiff’s motion to block Apple CEO Time Cook’s testimony, explaining in his order that it would be unfair for Apple to defend against some of the claims without being able to call Cook as a witness.




Apple Inc. is set to face a trade secrets trial Tuesday that could feature in-person testimony from CEO Tim Cook. Represented by Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP, medical technology company Masimo Corp. is accusing Apple of using technology developed by the plaintiff to manufacture its Apple Watches.
