State sued over off-road vehicles in Mojave desert park
The recently adopted Red Rock Canyon General Plan authorizes use of a campground and two roads by off-road vehicles “that will have a significant negative impact on the environmental resources in the park,” stated the complaint by the Center For Biological Diversity.




The Center for Biological Diversity sued the California Department of Parks and Recreation over plans to allow off-road vehicles in a Mojave Desert park that the plaintiff says is home to numerous rare and threatened plants and animals.
