Target faces 2 suits over homeless man’s stabbing attack
The lawsuits filed by partners of Panish Shea Boyle Ravipudi LLP and E & L LLP accuse the retail chain, its landlord, Brookfield Properties LLC, and its security company, Watermark Security Group Inc., of negligence in leaving the knife display open and accessible given the prevalence of homeless people in the area.




Target Corporation is facing two lawsuits from shoppers who were stabbed on store premises in downtown Los Angeles last November.
The lawsuits filed last week by partners of Panish Shea Boyle Ravipudi LLP and E&L LLP quote LAPD Chief Michel Moore as saying that a homeless man walked into the Target on Figueroa and 7th Street, grabbed a butcher knife from a store shelf and told a 9-year-old boy that he was going to "stab and kill him." ...
