California Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero administered the oath of office to all three jurists.
The Commission on Judicial Appointments on Friday confirmed Justice Tracie L. Brown as presiding justice of the 1st District Court of Appeal, Division 4, San Diego County Superior Court Judge Julia Kelety as an associate justice of the 4th District Court of Appeal, Division 4, and San Diego County Superior Court Judge Jose S. Castillo as an associate justice of the 4th District, Division 1.
