Manslaughter charges dropped against Alec Baldwin

The tragedy on the set of “Rust” has prompted lawmakers and industry professionals to take action to improve safety standards for film and television workers.

Involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec Baldwin in the October 2021 “Rust” fatal shooting of the film’s cinematographer and wounding of its director have been dropped, his attorneys said Thursday.
