1st Juul Labs bellwether trial starts in San Francisco
The school district alleged that Altria aimed its marketing efforts to attract kids to Juul by downplaying its nicotine content, a tactic similar to those used by cigarette companies in the last century, in order to profit by getting children addicted to Juul products. It also said at launch, the e-cigarettes did not include any warnings about nicotine addiction and other potential health risks that may arise from their usage.
