Judge says parties aim to 'get me out of' homeless case
The county’s attorney said Monday the agreement did give the judge authority to act if provisions of the deal weren’t met, and assured that would never happen. She also said he has no authority to reject a fairly negotiated settlement, but did not comment on what action the county will take next.




A federal judge rejected a settlement in which Los Angeles County agreed to pay $850.5 million to reduce homeless camps because the deal allegedly gave him no power to push for commitments to be kept and allowed the parties to “get me out of the case.”
