Teachers say policy requires them to deceive parents
To follow the required script for interaction with parents who may ask about their children’s gender preferences teachers are forced to lie or deceive by prevarication, states the lawsuit filed in federal court in San Diego. The two teachers are Christian and state that requiring them to lie to parents violates the free exercise of religion clause of the First Amendment as well as protections against compelled speech.




Two Escondido teachers on Thursday sued the state Board of Education, their school district and middle school over policies they say require them to deceive parents if students declare they are transgender or gender diverse.
