Plaintiff was 99% at fault for asbestos exposure, jury finds

Manning Gross + Massenburg LLP attorneys persuaded a jury to find their oil refinery cleanup company client liable for only $2.2 million instead of the $17.5 million asked for by a worker who said he developed mesothelioma on the job.

Manning Gross + Massenburg LLP reduced a $17.5 million personal injury claim to a verdict of $2.2 million. But their client will pay just over $22,000 before offsets or other settlements after an Alameda County jury found the plaintiff was 99% at fault for asbestos exposure that led to lung cancer.
