Juul major shareholder testifies to plan to eliminate nicotine
Altria Group Inc., the sole remaining defendant in the Juul multidistrict litigation after Juul settled last year with various plaintiffs for approximately $1.7 billion, subpoenaed Nicholas Pritzker. He served on Juul’s board of directors since 2013 and was accused along with the company of marketing to minors and contributing to a youth nicotine usage crisis.




The first bellwether trial for Juul Labs Inc.’s electronic cigarettes continued Monday with a witness called by both sides, one of the company’s biggest investors. He testified that the vaping company’s plan was to eliminate nicotine.
