No sanction against Winston & Strawn attorney for racism allegation

Keller/Anderle LLP partner Jennifer L. Keller, one of the attorneys for toymaker MGA Entertainment in its trademark lawsuit against a former pop group, filed the motion after being accused by opposing counsel of racism for using a racial slur while questioning a witness about her use of the word.

A federal judge denied a motion Monday for a $75,000 sanction against Winston & Strawn LLP and an attorney ahead of an intellectual property retrial next week.
