Senate confirms LA Judge Wesley Hsu to Central District
The 53-43 vote fills one of four vacancies on the Los Angeles-based court. Hsu will replace U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips, who took senior status last year.

The U.S. Senate confirmed Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Wesley L. Hsu, a former federal prosecutor, to a Central District of California vacancy on Wednesday.
The 53-43 vote fills one of four vacancies on the Los Angeles-based court. Hsu will replace U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips, who took senior status last year.
