The Housing Authority for the City of Los Angeles is being sued for a data breach discovered last December in which the personally identifiable information of thousands of people was taken from its servers and held for ransom.
At least three lawsuits against the affordable housing administrator have been filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. All three accuse the agency of negligence.
