Sonos can call Google CEO in trial over smart speakers
Shortly after opening statements on Monday, U.S. District Judge William H. Alsup in San Francisco ruled that Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who is not listed as a witness, could be called to the stand by Sonos.




The legal clash between Google and Sonos continued this week with the start of a new trial between the companies over smart-speaker technology. Sonos, an audio products manufacturer, alleged Google copied its technology to develop wireless audio products and is demanding $90 million in damages.
