Anti-SLAPP motions granted against musician in sex abuse claims

Howard E. King of King Holmes Paterno & Soriano LLP, who represents musician Marylin Manson, said, “The court telegraphed this outcome when it refused to consider the bombshell sworn declaration of former plaintiff Ashley Smithline, which detailed how women were systematically pressured by Evan Rachel Wood and Illma Gore to make false claims about Brian Warner,” Manson’s real name.

A Los Angeles County judge granted anti-SLAPP motions against musician Brian Warner, who performs as Marilyn Manson, finding that actress Evan Rachel Wood and her friend Ilma Gore did not coerce or pressure anyone to make false sexual abuse claims against him.
