Multidistrict litigation on Wells Fargo mortgage lending moves forward
Interim lead class counsel Dennis S. Ellis of Ellis George Cipollone O’Brien Annaguey LLP said in a statement Tuesday, “Black and other minority applicants had their applications intentionally and disproportionately denied, faced unjustified delays in the processing of their applications, and were given less favorable terms, which resulted in Wells Fargo systematically engaging in a new form of redlining that harmed Plaintiffs based on their race and ethnicity.”





Ahead of the first status conference for multidistrict litigation regarding alleged racial discrimination in mortgages, attorneys representing minority people who claimed Wells Fargo & Co. lending policies unfairly disadvantaged them reiterated their determination to hold the bank accountable for its supposed misconduct.
