Meta, plaintiffs accuse each other of stalling pixel wiretapping case

In support of their motion to compel, at a hearing in Santa Clara County Superior Court, lead counsel for the plaintiffs, Joel D. Smith and L. Timothy Fisher of Bursor & Fisher PA in Walnut Creek, argued that Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Inc., has ignored discovery requests since November and “has not produced a single document.”

Attorneys for the lead plaintiff in a proposed class action against Meta Platforms Inc.. for alleged wiretapping and invasion of privacy through the use of its pixel technology, claimed Thursday that the social media giant has been dodging document requests since last year.

Meta says it is the plaintiffs who are stalling.
