Gilead Sciences is again accused of falsely promoting its HIV medication as a “miracle drug” despite knowing that it wreaks havoc on patients’ bones and kidneys.
Gilead, based in San Mateo County, maintains that its products are safe, effective in treating HIV, and it cannot be compelled to continue to develop new products within a particular time frame.
