Baldwin’s negligence claims against film crew are blocked

Alec Baldwin countersued Gutierrez-Reed and Zachry after being sued in November by script supervisor Mamie Mitchell for emotional distress caused by witnessing the shooting. He alleged they had performed their work negligently, leading to the fatal shooting.

A Los Angeles County judge blocked actor Alec Baldwin’s negligence claims against a prop master and an armorer who worked on the set of his film “Rust,” where a gun he was holding discharged and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021.
