Nippon Chemi-con must pay Avnet electronics company $89.2M

A federal jury in San Francisco found that Nippon Chemi-con violated antitrust law by conspiring to set prices for aluminum and tantalum capacitors, damaging Avnet.

Electronic components distributor Avnet Inc. achieved a $89.2 million verdict over claims capacitor manufacturer Nippon Chemi-con Corp. and its American subsidiary after a federal jury found the defendant conspired to set prices for aluminum and tantalum capacitors.
