California Attorney General Rob Bonta, who is being sued over allegations that the Los Angeles County bail schedule is unconstitutional, says that the plaintiffs failed to establish grounds to name him as a defendant.
Bonta’s argument echoes statements from attorneys by the city and county of Los Angeles, that they also have no control over the bail schedule, which is set by the court.
