Real estate copyright battle revived in LA
“CoStar’s allegation that a small circular logo, which it often applies to photos it doesn’t own, constitutes copyright notice … won’t survive on summary judgment or at trial,” said an attorney for Commercial Real Estate Exchange Inc.




A federal judge revived claims of copyright infringement, dismissed in 2021, in a lawsuit between real estate groups CoStar Group Inc. and Commercial Real Estate Exchange Inc., also known as CREXi.
