Cops hurt on the job sue battering ram maker

"Upon breaching a door with the 5.11-brand medium battering ram for the purpose and in the manner for which it was designed, plaintiff [Anthoney] Keller immediately felt a searing pain shoot from his right shoulder and radiate down his right arm," said the lawsuit.

A trial judge ordered the Los Angeles Police Department on Tuesday to turn over paystubs for police officers who say that injuries they suffered while breaking down a door is the fault of the battering ram manufacturer.

Judge Anthony J. Mohr's order was in response to a Pitchess motion for the police officers' personnel records filed by the defendant company: 5.11 Inc.
