Google, developers settle market monopoly case for $90M

The settlement class includes all U.S. Android developers who earn $2 million or less annually through the Google Play Store. That effectively encompasses nearly all developers who earn money through the store.

Google LLC and Play Store developers asked a federal judge Thursday for final approval of a $90 million settlement to resolve antitrust allegations that Google monopolized markets for Android app stores and used that power to charge developers “supracompetitive” service fees.

The agreement also includes an additional $22 million in injunctive relief.
