Cognizant defends hiring Indians for US jobs

A class of plaintiffs say the technology firm disproportionately favor Indian candidates.

Multinational information technology firm Cognizant is defending itself in federal court against allegations that it prefers to hire Indian nationals in the U.S. and discriminates against applicants of other races and origins. The trial began in Los Angeles this week.
