LA lawyer who tweeted “protesters should be shot” argues her intent can’t be proven

She also argued that her comments are protected by decades of First Amendment law and can’t be the basis for her State Bar prosecution. Her demurrer was denied.

A Los Angeles attorney who tweeted “shoot the protesters” during the George Floyd protests in 2020 argued in a demurrer that she can’t be charged by the State Bar because there are no facts that prove her intent to incite acts of violence.
