Wrestling monopoly bout over media rights to be tried
U.S. District Judge Edward J. Davila said MLW Media showed that World Wrestling Entertainment’s capture of 92% of the revenue generated by the media rights for professional wrestling programming constitutes dominance in the market.




World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. must face the monopoly claims of rival company MLW Media LLC, a federal judge has ruled.
MLW filed suit against WWE for allegedly attempting to monopolize the media rights in the wrestling entertainment industry. MLW Media LLC v. World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., 22-cv-00179, (N.D. Cal., filed Jan. 11, 2022).
