DUI, environment lawyers to be paid under new legislation
The California DUI Lawyers Association alleged nearly a decade ago that the Department of Motor Vehicles’ administrative per se hearing system “deprives plaintiffs’ clients of the procedural due process rights.”




Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill approving more than $6.7 million to end two recent court cases, one filed by lawyers for drunken driving defendants.
Under SB 383, nearly $3.1 million more will go to a case brought by the California DUI Lawyers Association.
