Girardi trustee receives $25M check for his work on gas leak cases
The check is the “first installment” of payments that will help pay the now-defunct law firm’s creditors, said Kyra E. Andrassy, an attorney with Smiley Wang-Ekvall LLP.
The trustee of the Girardi Keese estate has told U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Barry Russell that she received a check for about $25 million from attorney fees in the Porter Ranch gas leak litigation settlement, which will make a dent in the amount of money that is owed to creditors.
