9th Circuit rules 26 COVID cases belong in state court

Adam R. Pulver, an attorney with Public Citizen Litigation Group, said plaintiffs in other cases have been waiting for months for these rulings. Another batch of identical appeals have yet to be decided, he said.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Wednesday affirmed the rejection of a host of appeals asking that wrongful death and elder abuse cases be decided in federal court, agreeing with a decision last year by a different 9th Circuit panel that concluded the cases belong in state court.
