Renters’ advocate lacks standing to challenge zoning regulations, county says

Santa Clara County claims that the regulations have not reduced the “residential capacity” of an area near Stanford University.

The County of Santa Clara challenged the standing of the California Renters Legal Advocacy & Education Fund at a status conference Thursday for a lawsuit alleging the county was “downsizing by a thousand cuts” and attempting to block new housing.
