Founder and director of California Innocence Project resigns
"I have accepted a position at the University of San Diego School of Law, where I will teach and continue my justice and innocence work in Latin America," Justin Brooks said. "I plan to also continue to support innocence work in the United States and continue to educate the public about the causes of wrongful convictions."




The founder and director of the California Innocence Project in San Diego resigned after 24 years with the organization. Justin Brooks also resigned from his tenured faculty position at California Western School of Law, a statement Friday read.
